Distributed photovoltaic power generation is a key development area for the industry
Data released by the National Energy Administration on May 4 shows that photovoltaic power generation nationwide maintained rapid growth in the first quarter, with new installed capacity reaching 7.21 million kilowatts. Among them, new installed capacity of centralized photovoltaic power stations reached 4.78 million kilowatts, a year-on-year decrease of 23%; distributed photovoltaic power generation reached 2.43 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 151%. New installed capacity shows a trend of slowing down in centralized photovoltaic power stations and accelerating in distributed photovoltaic power generation.

Among them, new installations of centralized photovoltaic power plants reached 4.78 million kilowatts, a year-on-year decrease of 23%; distributed photovoltaic power generation added 2.43 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 151%. New installations showed a trend of slowing down in centralized photovoltaic power plants and accelerating in distributed photovoltaic power generation. The cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation nationwide reached 84.63 million kilowatts, of which centralized photovoltaic power plants accounted for 71.88 million kilowatts, and distributed photovoltaic power generation accounted for 12.75 million kilowatts.

Yinan Phase 1 14.5MW photovoltaic poverty alleviation project successfully connected to the grid
On April 25th, with the completion of the acceptance inspection of the Anfeng distributed photovoltaic power station, all 49 small and 8 large photovoltaic power stations totaling 14.5 MW in the Linyi Phase I Poverty Alleviation Photovoltaic Project of Linyi Power successfully passed the acceptance inspection of the municipal power company and achieved grid connection, six days ahead of schedule.

At the end of December 2016, the National Energy Administration of China opened up applications for additional ground-mounted power plant quotas to qualified local entities. Statistics show that approximately 11GW of applications have been received to date. Since this will directly displace quotas for ground-mounted power plants in 2017, the demand for ground-mounted power plants this year is likely to be affected.
