Foreword
The photovoltaic industry is a strategic and sunrise industry in China with international competitiveness. In recent years, driven by both policy guidance and market demand, China's photovoltaic industry has developed rapidly, with its industrial scale expanding rapidly. The market share of each link in the industrial chain has ranked first in the world for many years, and it has become an important photovoltaic power in the world.
Using the method of formulating an industrial development roadmap to guide the direction of industrial development is conducive to long-term industrial layout and planning, conducive to further expanding China's advantages in photovoltaic manufacturing, conducive to seizing the commanding heights of industrial development, and conducive to leading the global photovoltaic industry development in the world. It is also a common practice in the global industrial community. Therefore, as a major country in global photovoltaic manufacturing and photovoltaic applications, formulating a photovoltaic industry development roadmap that conforms to China's national conditions is of great significance to guiding the healthy and benign development of the photovoltaic industry during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period. To this end, under the guidance of the industry's competent authorities, the China Photovoltaic Industry Association organized experts to compile the "China Photovoltaic Industry Development Roadmap" (hereinafter referred to as the "Roadmap") over a period of one year.
The content of the Roadmap covers all aspects of the photovoltaic industry chain, including 62 key indicators in various aspects such as polysilicon, silicon rods/ingots/wafers, cells, components, balance of system (BOS), and systems. The Roadmap widely collected first-hand opinions from more than 100 photovoltaic enterprises and held several expert meetings on various aspects and overall expert meetings. Based on this, according to the industrial situation in 2016, referring to the past industrial development situation, the development goals for 2017, 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2025 were predicted. These indicators reflect the development trends of industry, technology, and market, and have a certain forward-looking nature. We plan to revise the Roadmap every year so that the Roadmap can more timely and accurately reflect the actual situation of the industry and better guide the development of the industry.
The compilation of this Roadmap has received strong support from leaders of industry competent authorities, industry experts, and entrepreneurs from all aspects of the industrial chain. We would like to express our gratitude to all of them. Due to the limited time and the limited experience and ability of the compilers, if there are any inappropriate aspects, please feel free to point them out so that we can further improve them in subsequent revisions.
