Zhao Houchao, general manager of Linyi Power, was awarded the title of "Top Ten Outstanding Youths (Managers) in Shandong Power Industry" for the fourth time.

On February 2, under the guidance of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, the results of the fourth "Top Ten Outstanding Youths in Shandong's Power Industry" selection, jointly organized by the Youth Work Committee of Shandong Power Industry and the Shandong Power Enterprise Association, were officially announced. Zhao Houchao, general manager of Linyi Power Group Co., Ltd., was awarded the title of "Top Ten Outstanding Youths in Shandong's Power Industry (Manager)" for the fourth time.

Since its launch in November 2017, the fourth "Top Ten Outstanding Youths in Shandong Power Industry" selection activity has received strong support from various power enterprises, including State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company, Huaneng Shandong Power Generation Co., Ltd., China Huaneng Group Shandong Branch, Guodian Shandong Power Co., Ltd., Datang Shandong Power Generation Co., Ltd., and State Power Investment Group Shandong Branch. Through enterprise recommendations, qualification review, online voting, on-site review, and announcement, and by introducing social reviewers in the on-site review stage, the fairness, openness, and impartiality of the entire selection process were ensured. Finally, the fourth "Top Ten Outstanding Youths in Shandong Power Industry (Managers)", "Top Ten Outstanding Youths in Shandong Power Industry (Technical Experts)", and "Excellent Youths in Shandong Power Industry" were selected.
From May 2008 to March 2013, Zhao Houchao served as the deputy director of the R&D center of Shandong Linyi Group New Materials Co., Ltd. During his tenure, he presided over and participated in the research and development of high and low-temperature selective absorption coating technology, completing a total of 5 patent technology developments and applications, and participating in the revision of 1 national standard; he established the Tsinghua Linyi Energy Optoelectronics Research Institute with Tsinghua University's Department of Electronic Engineering, filling the gap in China's medium-temperature industrial heat utilization, and passed the joint acceptance of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Chinese Academy of Sciences; and jointly undertook and completed the Twelfth Five-Year Plan 863 Plan solar high-temperature thermal power collector tube key technology breakthrough with Tsinghua University's Department of Electronic Engineering, and successfully passed the pilot production test.
In March 2013, Zhao Houchao was appointed as the overseas center director of Shandong Linyi Group Solar Power Engineering Co., Ltd., since then, Linyi Power has accelerated its internationalization process. Under Zhao Houchao's leadership, and through the efforts of all employees of the overseas center, Linyi Power created a history of exporting Linyi photovoltaic engineering technology, and undertook Malaysia's first FIT photovoltaic project. The 1MW agricultural rooftop photovoltaic power station project in Kedah, Malaysia, is a cooperation between Linyi Power and Angkasa, Malaysia's largest state-owned enterprise, with Linyi Power undertaking project construction and providing engineering and technical services. This is also the first FIT project of the Malaysian government, enjoying local government subsidies. Since the launch of the national "One Belt, One Road" economic strategy, under the efforts of Zhao Houchao and his overseas team, overseas power plant development and construction have been deployed in Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Jordan, and Malaysia.
With the increasingly prosperous development of distributed photovoltaics, since taking office as the general manager of Linyi Power Group, Zhao Houchao has regarded distributed photovoltaics as a strategic focus for Linyi Power. Under his strong promotion, the "Fuyu Sunshine" distributed photovoltaic power generation system launched by Linyi Power has developed into several series. In addition to 9 specifications of standardized products such as 3KW, 5KW, 10KW, and 15KW, the "Fuyu Sunshine" energy management system has been further developed. This system integrates distributed power generation, energy storage, and user maintenance control. Currently, the system has officially obtained the CGC household grid-connected photovoltaic power generation system certification (certificate number CGC17028000002) from a third-party authoritative assessment agency, becoming the second household brand in the world to obtain this certification.
General Secretary Xi Jinping called for a decisive victory in the battle against poverty, adhering to targeted poverty alleviation. Zhao Houchao believes that photovoltaic poverty alleviation not only brings about the development of the company's business but also is an inherent need for enterprises to practice social responsibility. After pilot testing and development, the new model of Linyi Power Group's photovoltaic poverty alleviation project has been highly recognized by society, with projects blossoming everywhere, and poverty alleviation projects covering Shandong, Heilongjiang, Shanxi, Gansu, Xinjiang, Tibet, Hubei, and Yunnan. To date, Zhao Houchao has directly participated in poverty alleviation projects with a total installed capacity of 200 megawatts nationwide, involving more than 40,000 impoverished households and benefiting hundreds of thousands of people.
At the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping placed the development of new energy in an important position, and the era of universal photovoltaics has officially arrived. As a veteran in the photovoltaic industry, under the leadership of General Manager Zhao Houchao, Linyi Power Group is striding forward towards a new journey.
