The domestically produced snow wax vehicle that the General Secretary boarded was partly developed by Linyi Electric Power.

On October 27, 2021, the delivery ceremony of snow wax vehicles for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics was held in Beijing. Domestically produced snow wax vehicles were officially unveiled and delivered to the General Administration of Sport of China by the Shandong Provincial Government. Zhao Houchao, General Manager of Linyi Power Group, attended the ceremony. Linyi Power Group has thus successfully completed its research and development tasks, delivering a satisfactory result to all parties.
Recently, General Secretary Xi Jinping conducted a special investigation into the preparations for the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics. During the inspection, the General Secretary boarded China's first snow wax vehicle. From concept to plan, from design to manufacturing, it took only eleven months, the snow wax vehicle embodies the collective wisdom of Shandong's industrial manufacturing.
In November 2020, the joint research and development team for the Beijing Winter Olympics snow wax vehicle was officially established. After receiving the task of integrating the vehicle's light storage system, Mr. Gao Yuan Kun, President of Linyi Group, attached great importance to it, personally commanded and dispatched, laying a solid foundation for the smooth implementation of the project. Ms. Zhao Qing, Chairperson of Linyi Electric Power Group, carefully arranged and deployed, and Mr. Li Ran, the technical vice president of Linyi Electric Power Group, made many efforts, and the joint R&D unit communicated many times about the system design plan to ensure the continuous, safe, and stable operation of the power system of the snow wax vehicle under various conditions.
How to achieve the integrated combination of the light storage system and the snow wax vehicle became a difficult problem for the R&D team. The Group immediately established a task force headed by General Manager Zhao Houchao as the commander-in-chief and Li Ran, vice president of design at Linyi Electric Power, bringing together experienced researchers such as Peng Jian, Wang Qinshuai, and Li Xiaolin from the Linyi Electric Power Design Institute, successfully overcoming the problem of combining the photovoltaic power generation system, the energy storage system, and the snow wax vehicle, achieving the integrated integration of photovoltaics and the vehicle body. The overall design plan successfully passed the expert panel review on January 21, 2021.
